Textile and apparel exports rose 5.25% YoY in June

According to the latest statistics of the General Administration of Customs, in June 2013, China’s exports of textiles and clothing were approximately US$24.09 billion, an increase of 5.25% year-on-year, an increase of 0.04 percentage points from the previous month and an increase of 5.29 percentage points from the same period of last year; this was an increase of 4.87% compared to the same period last year. It increased by 1.77 percentage points last month, an increase of 0.04 percentage points from the same period of last year. The export of textile yarns, fabrics and products was US$9.225 billion, an increase of 9.72% year-on-year, an increase of 4.44 percentage points from the previous month and an increase of 9.13 percentage points from the same period of last year; the chain decreased by 5.04%, and the decrease was 5.7 percentage points higher than the previous month. Compared with the same period of last year, it decreased by 3.84 percentage points; exports of clothing and clothing accessories was US$14.864 billion, an increase of 2.66% year-on-year, an increase of 2.51 percentage points from the previous month and an increase of 3.06 percentage points from the same period of last year; an increase of 12.12% from the previous month, an increase of 7.16% from the previous month. The percentage point was reduced by 2.74 percentage points from the same period of last year.

From January to June 2013, textiles and garments exported a total of US$127.232 billion, an increase of US$13.69 billion over the same period of last year. The year-on-year increase of 12.06%, an increase of 10.44% over the same period last year.
